Design and Development of Parabolic Troughs (Single Axis Solar Tracking)
Achieved So far..
- Solid modelling and simulations of Trough model finished.
- Fabrication and integration of main structure and slew drive is finished
- Single Axis Solar tracking has been implemented on PLC
Features:
- Parabolic Trough concentrated Mirrors (L 12ft, W 6ft).
- Receiver area 72 sq. feet.
- Accuracy of 0.02 degree
- Easy 120°rotation in Elevation for sun tracking.

Design and development of Heliostat
Achieved So far..
- Solid modelling and simulations of heliostat model
- Fabrication and integration of main structure and slew drive is finished.
- Testing and installation of heliostat is under progress
- Dual Axis Solar tracking has been implemented on PLC
- Data Logging for different days of year is taken
Features:
- Flat concentrated Mirrors (reflector area 36 sq feet)
- Accuracy of rotation is 0.01 degree
- Easy 360° rotation on both Azimuth and Elevation for sun tracking
