2 Days National Workshop on Energy Efficiency and Conservation 2019 took place at University of Engineering and Technology Lahore in collaboration with PEECA (Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency), and Centre for Energy Research and Development (CERAD) UET. Director CERAD, Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood delivered a welcome note to the guests, invited speakers and attendants. He talked about the energy conservation activities and projects happening at the university. Program Manager PEECA, Mr. Abdul Rahman gave an overview on energy efficiency and conservation.The first day of workshop was laced with various presentations delivered by the invited speakers from various institutes on the topics “Waste to Energy, Bench Marking for Energy, Energy Efficiency, Lithium-Ion Storage, Energy Efficiency in Industries and Material & Energy Loss Prevention. On the second day the subjects “Energy Efficiency in Buildings, Thin film Evaporation, Smart Designing effects of Energy Efficient Retrofits on Solarization Cost and Low Power Fan” were discussed and all the attendees participated in the discussion. At the closing ceremony Director CERAD, Dr. Waqar Mahmood and Manager Energy Efficiency Lab, Muhammad Ali distributed certificates and shields to the participants and guests.
